Nie pamiętam kiedy pierwszy raz usłyszałem o Woodstock. Chyba było to w sierpniowej audycji Piotra Kaczkowskiego w 1981 roku. Z zamiłowaniem puszczał w tamtych latach „I’m Going Home” Ten Years After. Nagrałem to sobie na kasetę Stilon-45 i odtwarzałem cały wieczór. Ile razy można odtworzyć 12-minutowy utwór? Myślę, że przekroczyłem 20 odtworzeń. Solówkę Alvina Lee z tego kawałka potrafię zanucić wyrwany z najgłębszego snu. A nawet kiedyś zagrałem ją na trąbce sygnałowej w ramach pobudki na obozie harcerskim :)
Od lat staram się poznać cały zestaw nagrań z Woodstock. Ciekawe czy jest jakieś 100-procentowe pewne zestawienie wykonawców i wykonanych utworów. Tam był jednak niezły bałagan... Im więcej lat mija od 1969 roku, tym bardziej lubię za Woodstock za muzykę, a nie za otoczkę. Chyba się starzeję...
